Mrs. Rosali Ortega

Principal

Rosali Ortega has over 10 years of experience in education, of which the last 7 of them have been with AcadeMir Charter Schools. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Florida International University. For many years she was a classroom teacher of third, fourth, and fifth grade students. Mrs. Ortega is very passionate about teaching students to be life-long learners and problem solvers. She has always been very involved with the school community as a grade level chair and with leading school S.T.E.A.M. initiatives.

In 2020, she became the Mathematics Curriculum Specialist, a role that allowed her to collaborate with and support teachers in their instruction. Upon the opening of a  new campus in 2021, she became the Assistant Principal for AcadeMir Charter School East in Doral. Mrs. Ortega is very excited to work closely with the students, staff and families of AcadeMir Charter School East at Doral in order to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment on the path to academic excellence.

Mrs. Ortega is married and has two daughters who are very happy and proud students at AcadeMir Charter School East.

Mrs. Mary March

Asst. Principal

Mary March has been an educator since 2002. She graduated from the University of Miami with a double major in elementary education and English Literature. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science degree, she became a teacher. She was an elementary school teacher for 13 years teaching students in first, second, third, and fourth grade. During her years as a classroom teacher, she also served in various roles such as grade level lead, ESSAC Chair, Reading Lead Teacher for her school, and organized numerous clubs for her students to participate in.

After her time in the classroom, she decided to pursue administration. She continued her education and earned her Master’s In Education in Instructional Leadership from American College of Education. For the last nine years she has served as a school administrator.

Mrs. March is married and has two wonderful children. Her daughter is entering her senior year of high school and her son is starting middle school. As a mother and an educator, she sees the importance of having a strong village to raise our children. She is grateful to now be a part of your child’s village here at AcadeMir Charter School East.
